Our outstanding advisors, Mr. Holt and Mr. Marino have served as role models to many and have inspired countless individuals within SPHS DECA to achieve levels of success most of them never thought possible. Their drive, determination, and heart towards our chapter truly reflect in the work ethic of our members. They are the guiding force that drives success within our chapter.

Jerry Mack Holt

Since 1986, Mr. Holt has led the South Plantation DECA program. There have been many challenges and successes throughout the years, but its undeniable the results have produced a culture of professionalism and high achievement. Mr. Holt has guided his students throughout the years to always give your best and to do the right thing.

Mr. Holt is from Tennessee and very proud of it. He hopes to one day see the University of Tennessee football team play in a National Championship again.

Ricardo Marino

Mr. Marino has been at South Plantation since 2008, and with SPHS DECA since 2012. He teaches the Marketing III and Marketing IV level classes. His favorite part about being a DECA advisor is helping students reach their full potential in the classroom and in life.

Mr. Marino loves spending time with his family and watching the Gators on Saturdays, and the Miami Dolphins on Sundays.
